Doctor Detectives Around the World
To commemorate Doctor’s Day, Grade 8A presented Doctor Detectives Around the World, an original theatrical adaptation inspired by Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days.
Through a lively global adventure, Phileas Fogg and Passepartout travelled across six countries in search of clues to defeat the mischievous Grumble Virus. Along the way, they discovered the importance of vaccination, adequate rest, clean water, regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and mental wellbeing.
Blending humour, music, and engaging performances, the production celebrated the invaluable contributions of doctors and healthcare professionals. It highlighted their essential role not only in treating illness, but also in promoting healthier communities.
The assembly encouraged students to adopt healthy habits, appreciate the dedication of healthcare workers, and recognise that compassion, knowledge, and informed choices are among the most powerful prescriptions for a healthier world.
