1M1B Future Leaders 2023-2024
NAFL students had their annual tryst with the UN as part of the 1 Million For 1 Billion (1M1B) Future Leaders programme, aimed at creating future-ready problem solvers who leverage their diverse skills to work towards the SDGs. 5 of our young changemakers were shortlisted to showcase their incredible projects at the 1M1B summit this year, making waves in the areas of clean drinking water, bridging education divides and addressing mental health interventions for young teenagers.
Ananya Narayan's Project Chapter is making Mental Health Awareness accessible to teenagers through social media advocacy, blog writing and engaging awareness & sensitivity sessions in schools.
Roshni Gupta's Project Vidya is working to make Education more equitable, by teaching English and 21st Century Skills to under-served Middle School children.
Rohan Gupta's Project TechUp is helping students with limited or no digital access with basic computer skills to help them bridge the gaps in a rapidly digitising world.
Chaaya Basawaraj and Jiya Shetty's Project Theia is bringing clean drinking water to rural Bangalore, starting with their first water filtering ATM built in Kunigal.
