Admission Guidelines

Registration for admissions for the academic year 2024-25

NAFL is a happy school for happy children! Our engaging curriculum with an international perspective trains students to be independent, critical, and creative thinkers. Our philosophy of working with small numbers (an average of 25 in a class) ensures a personalised learning experience in a caring and creative atmosphere that puts the child at the heart of all we do.

Levels offered:

Pre-primary levels:

Montessori (M-1)

 

Age criteria: 3 to 3 ½ years as of June

 

Kindergarten (K-1)

 

Age criteria: 4 to 4 ½ years as of June

Primary, Middle & Senior Levels:

Grades 1 to 8 and
Grades 9 to 11

Registration Process:
  • Use the respective links at the end of this document to access the Registration Forms.
  • Complete the form online, upload copies of the documents requested and make a payment of Rs. 1300/- (non-refundable) through the online payment gateway.
  • Download and print the duly filled-in Registration Form as well as the Registration Fee Receipt.
  • Submit a hard copy of the Registration Form and a passport size photo of the child, the Registration Fee Receipt and copies of the documents requested, at the school office.
    Please note - This step is mandatory. Online form submissions alone will not be accepted.
  • Families residing outside India and seeking admission to NAFL may email us at admin@nafl.in after completing the registration process. We will contact you by email when we are able to offer a seat.
  • The school office will be open Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • The school will be closed for Dussera from October 14 to 24, 2023, for Diwali from November 11 to 14, 2023 and for Christmas from December 23, 2023, to January 1, 2024.
Entrance Tests
  • Written tests will be conducted at NAFL in the subjects specified for each level in the grid below. The date and time of the tests will be conveyed by email.
  • For Grades 9 (IGCSE), 11 (ISC) and AS, subject choices made by the candidate will determine the number of test papers a student must take.
  • For subjects that may not have been part of the candidate‘s previous school’s curriculum, (Global Perspectives, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Commerce or Accounts) the question papers will test aptitude only.

Grades 11 (ISC) & AS

Compulsory:
1) English
Based on subject selection:
2) Physics, Chemistry, Biology (knowledge-based tests)
3) Computer Science, Global Perspectives, Art (aptitude-based tests)
4) Basic Math (separate aptitude test) + Commerce/Accounts/Business (combined aptitude test)

Once admission is granted, students must bring their portfolio of work and elaborate on their goals in Art at a face-to-face meeting with our Art Teacher. The School Office will coordinate the appointment.

Admission process:

NAFL has only limited seats available. Submission of the Registration Form does NOT guarantee admission. Exerting any influence for admission directly or indirectly will be a disqualification. Priority screening of applications is conducted in the following cases:

- students applying from outside India
- students applying to grades 9 and 11
- siblings of NAFL students

  • Admission is based solely on merit and on availability of seats.
  • The parents and student/s will have an interaction with the Principal once the Entrance Test is cleared.
  • In May-June, before the academic year commences, there will be a Parent & Student Orientation on the school policies, school routine and expectations, the academic programme, career counselling (for Middle and Senior School) extracurriculars, etc.
